Submissions
    
        We publish short literary and genre fiction (all genres), poetry, book reviews, and short nonfiction articles about writing and writing markets. Humor and satire are always greatly appreciated.
        All submissions should be prepared and sent to the appropriate Calliope editor in accordance with procedures posted on our Submissions pages. Since Calliope on the Web is an online extension of printed Calliope, works accepted for publication by Calliope will appear in both media unless the author expressly stipulates otherwise in advance of the issue publication date. Calliope retains non-exclusive archival rights pending an author's request to have his or her work removed from Calliope on the Web. 
    
Calliope on the Web
    
        Our website content is similar, but not identical, to that of printed Calliope. Occasionally an author whose work is accepted for publication by printed Calliope refuses to have that work placed on the web. Occasionally we run out of pages before we've placed everything we want to publish, in which case we might ask an author's permission to publish a work on the website exclusively. And occasionally we come across something that just begs to be placed and we'll slip it into the website in addition to material from printed Calliope.
