Poetry Guidelines
The publication guidelines are really quite simple:

1.  Limit yourself to 5 poems at a time.

2.  Style and form don’t matter--I don’t want to stifle anyone’s creativity.

3.  Try to limit the length. I might accept a long poem if it's exceptional, but Calliope is a smallish
publication and our poetry page count is limited.

4.  I’m open to all subject matter but do feel that language should conform to community standards.
I don’t want to censor anyone, but I frankly think that many of the “good old Anglo-Saxon”
epithets are overused or unnecessary. I don’t think Calliope should intentionally offend.

5.  If you submit poems by postal service, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. I’m
much less likely to publish poems received by snail-mail without the simple courtesy of a SASE.
Regardless of how you submit your poems, include your postal mailing address so that contributor
copies can be sent to you, should your work be accepted.
