Ralan's Webextravaganza  (www.ralan.com)

Many people ask me where I go to find markets for my stories and poems, and I usually tell them then ralan.com, a site owned and maintained by Ralan Conley.
While not the only website that give markets for writers of science fiction, fantasy, and horror, it's the one I use most often and have gotten sales from the magazines and websites I've found here.
The market pages are divided into twelve parts, starting with Pro markets, those that pay five cents a word or more, followed by semi-pro markets, paying three or more cents a word.  Then there are paying markets, those that pay less than three cents a word and 4theLuv markets, those that only pay copies or web exposure.  These are followed by the following pages: Anthology, Book Publisher, Audio, Flash/Poetry/Twitter, Humor, Adult(XX), and Contests.
There is also a long list of dead markets, those markets that are no longer publishing.  I have used this page when I had a story or poem
not returned in a reasonable time, only to find that
 the magazine/website no longer existed.
Each market page starts with new and updated markets.  On Pro market page as of this date 12/14/09, we have one new market, Lightspeed, and three updated markets, Realms of Fantasy, ChiZine, and Fantasy Magazine.
The markets are listed in alphabetical order.  Each listing includes frequency, types of fiction published, word length wanted, where reprints and e-mail submissions are accepted, and the editor's name.  You can also link to each markets website if they have one.
Ralan's site also has pages with helpful writing links, market response times, and a page with a link to his own writing.
This is a great site for finding a place to sell that story or poem you just finished. Highly recommended.
