Letters
From Jim Brearton:
I read in issue #127 that Joan Tobin wondered whether I was
Timothy James Brearton. I'm not, but he's my cousin. I was recently in
contact with him when he was working on the most recent Lake Placid Film
Festival and saw that I'd submitted a film. Despite my cousinishness, my
film was rejected. I guess that's how bad my film was. Oh, well.
Also, while I've been accused of being a pack rat, I can't find
issue #126. What story or item of mine was in that? I know I negligently
allowed my subscription to expire, and maybe the item was in an issue
during my sabbatical. I'll keep looking for the issue, as I have several
places I keep things in, so I don't lose them. Also, let me tell you,
"Rejection," by Ricky Ginsburg, in
#127 really hit home, and was a truly fantastic story about a writer.

You should have received two contributor copies, even if your
subscription had run out. Your article, “Girl Books and Guy Books,” ran
in #126, Winter 2010. There’s a picture of snow-covered cacti on the
cover. Let me know if you can’t find the copies and I’ll send
replacements.
